Her debut single, Here in 2015. She was only at the age of 19. This song received praise as well from critics and listeners. It peaked at number 19 on both the Canadian Hot 100 and Billboard Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone ranked the track as one of the year's most memorable Songs. This same year, she released Know It All. Scars to Your Beautiful is one of the five songs she wrote that made it to the Billboard charts. This track was special because, based on the interview with Rap-Up that she did with the listeners could identify with her journey of finding love for themselves, and doubting her. Cara is known to include messages regarding mental health, kindness and self-love within her songs. Cara's music reflects of her personal struggle to deal with depression and insomnia. In a conversation with Reuters she described her album as "half chaotic" and "half done". The therapy she received helped her to grow and encourages other people to seek help if necessary. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on July 11, 1996. She received a guitar from her parents at the age of was 10 years old and it ignited her interest in music. She started covering songs that she liked at the age of 13 in order to show the world she had the skills and the courage necessary to be a singer. One of her tracks, Sweater Weather, was what made her stand out. EP Entertainment gave her the chance to write and compose her own music.
